ACTION AND DESCRIPTION

Measure body temperature quickly and easily. No glass.

Exactitude: ±0.1 °C (0.2 °F) between 35.5 and 42.0 °C (from 95.9 to 107.6 °F); ±0.2 °C (0.4 °F) out of these temperatures. Operating temperature range: from 32 °C to 42.9 °C (from 90 to 109.9 °F). Class IIa, not sterile.

Clean the thermometer before and after each use.

Measurement of oral temperature: place the probe under the tongue and keep your mouth shut to ensure correct reading.

Axillary temperature measurement: place the probe under the arm covering it completely and in parallel position to the body.

Measurement of rectal temperature: insert the probe 1 cm into the rectum and keep it 20 seconds.

The temperature should not be taken after exercise, eating or after exposure to extreme heat or cold conditions without allowing at least 30 minutes to pass. Before taking the temperature it is advisable to lie down or sit for at least 5 minutes. Axillary temperature is usually 0.5°C lower than oral measurement.
