Studies on bacteria and skin health have increased rapidly in the nineteenth century. The founder of the brand StiefelJohn David StiefelHe worked with dermatologists Ferdinand von Hebra and Paul Unna in this new medical specialty.

This was the launch of the singular and patented Zeasorb powder in 1956 and the production of the first benzoyl peroxide product for acne in 1966.
