DESCRIPTION
A flexible and full-contact dressing that provides an optimal environment for wound healing and prevents the formation of abnormal scars.
It is dried to form a protective layer that is permeable to gases and waterproof, which hydrates and protects the surface of the skin engaged and the open wounds of the chemical and microbial invasion.
It can be applied on recent incisions and cuts, open wounds and compromised surfaces of the skin, including those derived from post laser treatments, chemical peelings, dermoabrasion, first and second grade burns and surface burns produced by radiation therapy.
- For open wounds and compromised skin: it dries to form a bacteriostatic and inert deposit, fine and flexible that hydrates and protects affected areas. It helps to create an optimal environment for the healing of superficial wounds and burns, which leads to a faster re-epitulation and a reduced inflammatory response without strongly adhering to the bed of the wound or to the newly formed granulation tissue.
- For the prevention of anomalous scars: it forms a semi-oclusive, autosecting and transparent film that is not strongly attached to the bed of the wound or to the newly formed granulation tissue. It softens and smoothes the lumped scars
and allows to normalize the process of collagen synthesis, producing a normal mature scar. It can be used with or without a secondary protection deposit. It is ideal for the most exposed areas such as the face and neck, as well as joints and hairy areas without the need to shave it. It is used to relieve itching and discomfort and reduce redness and discoloration associated with damaged skin and scars.
It was developed for use in all types of surface wounds, burns, tears and abrasions of the skin, including those derived from:
- General surgery
- Traumatisms
- Burning
- Dermatitis and burns produced by radiation therapy treatments
- Deaths
- Rozation
- Laser therapy, including tattoo removal
- Chemical exfoliation
- Dermal abrasion
- Acne and other skin diseases
It can be applied in open wounds, burns and waves where the integrity of the skin has been compromised. It is used for:
- Protection and hydration of superficial wounds, burns and committed skin.
- Prevention and treatment of hypertrophic scars and queloids.
It can also be used combined with invasive scar treatments to improve results, including surgical cuts and sutures, injections of intralesional steroids, laser treatments and compressive garments. It is suitable for children and people with sensitive skin. Stratamed can be used safely in infants and during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

EMPLEMENTATION MODEL
Check that the affected skin or wound is clean.
Before applying the gel, carefully dry the excess of exudate or fluid from the wound (as much as possible).
- In damaged or injured skin that does not require a secondary dressing: apply a very thin layer of Stratamed in the affected area and let the gel dry. It should be applied once a day or twice a day in the most exposed areas, or as indicated by your doctor. Once dry, it can be covered with sun protection creams, cosmetics, compressive garments or escayolas.
- In damaged skin or wounds that require a secondary dressing: apply a thin layer of Stratamed and cover it with the secondary dressing. It should be applied again when the bandage is changed or the progress of the wound is checked, or as prescribed by your doctor.
For better results, Stratamed must be in continuous contact with the skin (24 hours a day).
When properly applied in exposed areas, it should be dry in 5-6 minutes. If it takes longer to dry, it is likely that it has been applied in excess. Gently remove excess with a clean paper handkerchief or a clean gauze and allow the drying process to continue.
Treatment is recommended at least 60 to 90 days (24 hours per day). Large scars may require longer treatment. Its continued use is recommended until any improvement is observed.
