INDICATIONS
1. Reduction of hypertrophic scars or queloids.
Tropholastine Reducing scars can be used for the reduction of recent hypertrophic scars, or old, or queloids. A scar is the natural result of the healing process of a wound. It is important to remember that a wound does not become a scar until it is completely healed.
Duration of treatment: in some cases some improvement has been observed after 4 weeks of treatment; however, it is recommended to keep the deposit for a period of 8 to 10 weeks to obtain a better result (see ?Precautions and contraindications?).
2. It helps prevent the formation of hypertrophic scars.
Tropholastine Reducing Scars can be applied in new scars to help prevent the formation of hypertrophic scars.
Duration of preventive treatment: in some cases the follow-up period has been up to 11 months (see ?Precautions and contraindications?).
Tropholastine Reducing scars can be used in old or newly formed scars, such as red or elevated scars produced by burns and cuts, general surgery, aesthetic surgery or traumatic wounds. Since the healing process has a great individual variability, doctors or health professionals will have to decide when to start treatment with Tropholastine Reducing Scars. It is not recommended to apply the deposit before healing the wound and that the epidermis is restored.
Tropholastine Cicatric reducer protects the scars of solar radiation.
Periareolar
Tropholastine Reducer of Periareolar Scars has been specially designed for its application in scars produced as a result of plastic or reconstructive breast surgery, such as magnifying mamoplasties.
Tropholastine Reducer of Periareolar scars can be used for the reduction of recent hypertrophic scars, or old ones, or periareolar queloids.
EMPLEMENTATION MODEL
1. Wash your hands before using the dressing. Clean and dry the scar area carefully, checking that the skin is completely dry and without remains of cream, ointment or oil to facilitate the application of the Tropholastine Reducer of Periareolar Scars.
2. Open the envelope and separate the protective layers from the circular dressing with softness. Place the dressing on the periareolar scar uniformly, making sure that folds are not formed and that all edges are fixed on the skin. If it is necessary to trim the deposit to adapt the size before placing it, the protective layer should not be separated before cutting and it should be ensured that it has a sufficient size to adhere to the healthy skin surrounding the scar.
3. Once placed, the Tropholastine Reducer of Periareolar scars can remain fixed on the surface of the skin up to seven days according to the scar type. The dressing is waterproof if applied without folding and all edges are fixed on the healthy skin around. The deposit is of one use. If the dressing starts to take off, replace it with a new Tropholastine Reducer of Scars.
4. To remove the dressing, gently lift a corner and pull carefully and lift the edges of the dressing until separated from the skin.
