Patient conditions:

- Rest for 5 minutes before measure

- Right position (avoid isometric muscle activity): seat, straight back and supported in the backrest of the chair and arms supported to the height of the heart, uncrossed legs

- Avoid measuring in cases of disconfort, full bladder, etc.

- Quiet and comfortable atmosphere.

Pre-measure Relaxation:

- Reduce anxiety or concern to the extent possible

- Minimize mental activity: do not speak, do not ask

- Avoid caffeine or tobacco in the previous 15 minutes and symptoms (e.g. pain) or mental/emotional agitation

Measurement:

- Select the arm with the highest PA, if any

- Adjust without slackness and without buying

- Remove thick garments, avoid rolling them in a way that compels

- The center of the camera (or the cuff mark) must match the branquial artery

- The cuff must remain at the height of the heart; but not so the device, which must be well visible to the scout

- Follow the manufacturer's instructions

- In general, it is necessary to turn on the sfigmomanometer and proceed to the realization of the measure by pressing the button indicated for that purpose

- Wait to finish the reading and register the same on the appropriate sheet.

Tips for a correct pressure shot:

It is important to make the shot correctly to obtain exact values.
